Hi Everyone 🙂
Hope you are having a fantastic day 🙂 Have you checked out the challenge at Artful Crafting?
I am so excited to share with you my project, The challenge was to use stencils and my… I did have a lot of fun. So here is my card…
Ok so, I created the background for this card with Prima Cheveron stencil using the dew drop inks on thick card from Artful Crafting. I really liked the quality, colour (the perfect off-white) and the texture of this card stock. And these inks are water based. I applied the ink pads randomly to the stencil and then sprayed the stencil with water. Then I put the card stock over the wet inky stencil to get this gorgeous background pattern. (the paper over stencil technique). The sentiment ‘a note to say Hello’ is from a W Plus 9 stamp set called hand lettered Hello.
I used Tim Holtz butterfly border die along with some Magnolia Doohickey dies to embellish the card. As you can see some of the die-cuts were made using corrugate paper … it is from DCWV… its gorgeous and I used the victorian velvet distress paint over it. This colour is tooo yummy SeRiOuSly!! 🙂
I also used stampendous Frantage for this wonderful shabby effect on the butterfly border and around the sentiment. Trust me it looks all glittery and sparkly in real 🙂
The lace and ribbons are from my stash and the mulberry flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Here are a couple of close-ups. Can you tell that I used wink of stella sparkle pen on the sentiment? I did go over board with the paint splatter technique using the Victorian velvet distress paint again….haha it was too much fun 🙂
I had a lot of fun making this project and hope that you like it 🙂
