So excited to share a very special project today. This is a guest design post for Waffle Flower Crafts Challenge. BTW their stamps and dies are just super awesome, you should check them out. So the inspiration for this challenge.
Look at the yummy colors… what a lovely combination!!! and something I was really excited about 🙂 So here is the card that I made.
I started playing with some distress stains (peacock feathers, salty ocean, shabby shutters and mustard seed) on watercolor paper and then used the lovely Waffle Flower Crafts ‘Doily square die’ to cut out the water color piece for my card. It is such a gorgeously intricate design. Love it!..
For my sentiment I used the ‘Doily Circle stamp set’ from Waffle Flower. This stamp set has is lovely with a doily and several sentiments to go with the title ‘Smile’. To add some interest, I then used some watered down black acrylic paint with a paint brush for the splatters. My card base was cut with Go Kreate dies. Of course I could not leave it plain. I used the cutest bow stamp ever from the ‘Congrats stamp set’ to create a background using versamark embossing ink and enchanted gold embossing powder. I colored in the bows using peacock feathers distress paint. Here is a look at the die-cut piece and the background when I was arranging them 🙂
Ok thats it folks. I hope that you like this card. Do go over to the Waffle Flower Crafts blog and you will be amazed by the projects created by their wonderful Design Team.
