Hi All 🙂
Hope you are doing well… Its night time here in my corner of the world and I have a nasty cold but crafting mood is on! shows how much I love this hobby.
I have been wanting to take part in the Altenew challenge ‘places from abroad’ and when I saw the theme from Altenew September challenge (places abroad-Windsor castle) I fell in love….do check it out!!… Windsor Castle is so beautiful… visiting it makes you feel like you have been transported back into history…. Its Awesome!!
So I was truly inspired and today I made this card for my entry into the challenge..using Altenew stamp set ‘Wild Hibiscus‘… its an utterly gorgeous stamp set!!
I am really happy with how it turned out… however, it took me ages to take the pictures… I think I took about 45 …. eeek… its even lovelier in person (if I may say so :-P)
I stamped the flowers on watercolour paper with versamark and embossed it with ranger gold embossing powder. I coloured them with distress stains (picked raspberry, victorian velvet, festive berries, evergreen bough, and pine needles) I fussy cut everything out and played with the flower petals to give them a 3D look. To give an aged look to the base I use antique linen distress stain. The sentiment is from another Altenew stamp set ‘Sentiments & quotes‘. I adhered the flowers and leaves using liquid glue and added the gold sequins.
Here is a close up…
Hope you like it. Would love to hear what you think 🙂
