Hello you all 🙂
Have you heard about The Crafty Kickstart2016 by the Artful Crafting Design Team. You should definitely check it out. There are 5 prize vouchers and everyone is welcome to take part (its international). One of the team members will share something crafty with you all everyday for the month of January. Yesterday, my friend Amna Hasan over at The Creative Element shared how she stores her card stock for paper crafting… I am so going to copy her. My card stock is totally unorganised and all over the place and her tips will definitely come in handy.
Today, I wanted to share with you a mini album that I made…. I have always loved making albums… there is something so magical about them…. and they are most definitely the perfect keepsake once you add photos and journalling to them. Sadly I do not make many albums for myself! Does this happen to you??? Now I am thinking that 2016 should be a year dedicated to handcrafted family albums. I must must must create crafty projects for myself and my family 🙂
So, this album was made for the sweetest girl ever who was thinking of a One of a kind gift for her fiancé and wanted it to be in shades of blue. It is about 6 by 4 inches in size and was made using papers from My Minds Eye. I actually used papers from two collections by MME… Lost and found- Oliver and Indie Chic – Nutmeg. The cover has a mixed-media feel to it. I used a stencil and texture paste and some twinkling H20s, mica powder and some blossoms. I decorated and embellished the inside using lots and lots of die-cuts and stamps from my stash. Here is a pictorial walkthrough of the album on Youtube….
Do you like making albums? I would love to see if you have made any… Please share a link in the comments below so I can visit your blog or page.
Tomorrow my friend Jaihan will share a post … Do check out her blog to see what awesomeness she has in store for us all 🙂
