Hello there 🙂
A card share today using Waffle Flower Crafts dies. This card is a bit different from my usual ones as it does not have any stamped image or sentiment. I made it using die-cuts. It all started when I saw the new challenge post over at Waffle Flower Crafts. You should definitely check these challenges out!! 🙂 The theme of the challenge is to use stencilling and a colour scheme and card layout template for inspiration is also provided. Here’s the card.
The card was inspired by the following inspiration provided by Waffle Flower Crafts.
I die-cut a scrap piece of card stock using the Doily Circle die by Waffle flower crafts and used it as a stencil over my card background. I used the handy ink blending tools and distress inks dusty concord, milled lavender and a bit of picked raspberry. Then I spritzed the background with water and oh-em-gee… the texture it gives is just awesome!! all because of the reactive properties of distress inks… have I ever told you how much I love them 😀 Then I die-cut the same doily using gold mirror card stock and arranged it over my background following the template from the challenge post and then splattered my piece with watered down white acrylic paint. The sentiment is also a die-cut by Waffle Flower Crafts called ‘With love word die‘. To finish the card I added a strip of black card stock on the card base and then adhered my stencilled piece. Finally I used my WRMK corner chomper to round the right bottom edge. I really loved how this one turned out! Another lookie 🙂
